When setting our experiment we didn’t use the Distribution panel which was set to local by default. Befor clicking on Start, we now select the distributed mode. Then we can set the adress and port on which PLASMA Lab is listening. Select 127.0.0.1 for Host adress.
We can now click on the Start button. This will initialize the server and start the algorithm scheduler.
PLASMA Service lets you define host adress and port on which PLASMA Lab is listening. You can also set the number of thread that you want to run on this instance of PLASMA Service.
Once PLASMA Service is setup we click on the connect button. PLASMA Service status now switch to running. Once our experiment is completed, PLASMA Service disconnect itself.
Alternatively you can run PLASMA Service in a console. This might be usefull if you intend to run it on a distant machine.
